In landscape architecture, there is an ever increasing push to incorporate systems thinking. Systems thinking is defined as the process of understanding how elements influence the whole. Problem solving requires an understanding of each part to fully understand how a system works. This blog is an attempt to explore the parts. Blog posts investigate how various elements in nature signal the natural processes. Overall, this catalogue of explorations is meant to be an inspirational tool for landscape architects. By incorporating and/or exhibiting these smaller parts within a landscape design, the larger system will be revealed.
